Visit “U Merca” Fish Market of Genova and walk through the stalls that get fish brought every day in by 3,000 fishermenso as to discover the enormous variety of fish in the sea and also to emphasize those species that maybe less known but are excellent when cooked.
A stop over in a Focacceria (a baker’s producing the typical flat oiled bread) and then on to the Galata, the largest Maritime Museum in the whole of the Mediterranean. It has four floors completely dedicated to the sea and navigation and it is situated in the ancient Darsena (port) where the Genovese Republic built its fleet in the 17th Century.
