A medieval “corte franca” , a little France, right near Brescia, at the foot of Lake Iseo, with 2,500 hectares of vineyards and 10 million bottles produced each year: excursion to Franciacorta, the land of sparkling wines where the classical method is in use with a second fermentation taking place inside the bottles, producing wine with very fine “perlage” and smooth taste, situated among gentile hills scattered with vineyards and where there is the discreet attraction of dwellings belonging to ancient Brescia nobility.
The road passes along the wine route between Erbusco, the noble dwellings of Bornato and the vineyards of Monticelli Brusati that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Guided visit and wine tasting take place at a top quality wine producer to sample classical Franciacorta, a “millesimato” and a “saten”.
